I'm writing this letter to you from my deck, after the first rains of the season. It's pleasantly warm and a little humid and all the plants are plump after having endured their periods of thirst. The birds are singing, rejoicing. It is beautiful, but that is an understatement.
I've lived in Northern California for almost 8 years now, but I grew up in New York, and my internal sense of seasons still expects the types of weather I grew up with. So, the autumn and winter being the wet season still feels funny to me. My internal clock expects cool and crisp. I am still adjusting.
Adjustment periods can be long and extended. A reminder to myself and to all of us.
It's a reflective time of year. I'd be honored to help you reflect with a reading.
Exactly what are you passionate about? What opportunity are you ready to embrace, fired up for it's inherent possibilities?
This October, consider what creative works are ready to bubble to the surface and then take action to make them happen! It seems possible that you might need a fire lit underneath you by a friend, confidante, coworker... and if this happens, see it for the blessing that it is. If it doesn't happen, but you know you need it, invite your friends to support you in a fiery keep-you-accountable sort of way.
You'll see the fruits of your labor in shorter time than you might imagine once you start taking positive action toward your creative projects. (Remember, life is a creative project! You are your own creative project! Don't limit yourself by thinking just of art, music, writing etc when we talk about creative works.)
And, I'd be remiss if I didn't say this card has some awfully sexy energy to it. You can see that too, right?
As seasons shift, it's an auspicious time to have some fun between the sheets. Do you know what you like and dislike in this realm? Speak up for yourself and tell your partner. If you're single, this applies equally to you getting to know yourself as well as possible.
